Our story

Built by a mom who was tired of spending her weekends on groceries.

I'm Lauren. Every week I was spending 2 to 3 hours on the same invisible job: figuring out what to cook, checking what we had, building a grocery list, going to the store, and forgetting something anyway.

It was not the cooking that wore me down. I love cooking. It was the constant mental loop before I ever touched a pan. What are we eating? Do I have what I need? That hum never turned off.

I looked for something that could take this off my plate — an app that connected to my grocery store, understood my family, and just handled it. I couldn't find it. So I built it.

Mise connects to Kroger, learns your family's recipes and preferences, and handles the weekly planning and grocery ordering automatically. It knows what you usually cook. It knows what you already have. Every Sunday it proposes a week of meals. You spend five minutes reviewing it. By Friday, the groceries are ready.

The time you get back is nice. But that is not the part that changes things. It is the mental load — that constant background hum of “what are we eating this week, do I have what I need?” Mise turns that off. You can still get creative when you feel like it. But now it is a choice, not a chore.

I built Mise because I believe the people who feed their families deserve to actually sit down with them.

Our mission

Bye dinner mental load, hello Mise. Mise takes care of meal planning, makes the grocery list, and adds everything to your cart for pickup or delivery. So you can focus on cooking for your family.

Families using Mise spend less than 10 minutes a week on groceries. They eat better, waste less food, and never run out of the things they always need. The app runs quietly in the background and only shows up when it needs a decision from you.

Less time planning. More time at the table.
